Review of Idiocracy (2006) by Louis B — 08 Apr 2010
I was expecting a good comedy. The potential of this movie was enormous. But, instead, I got a scary vision of where we're heading to. The jokes weren't that bad, but it could have been better. But, that doesn't matter because this film made me think. And that's all a movie should do. People who didn't like this movie because "the jokes weren't funny" didn't get the message. Jokes aren't important in a movie. A movie should make us think, not laugh. A comedy sketch should make us laugh. Not a movie. If you didn't like this movie for any reason, well then, I don't think you're actually smarter than any character in the movie.
This movie should be passed to billions of teens and even kids. Just to make them understand what our future may become if they don't make something INTELLIGENT.
Watch this movie and you'll be smarter. Trust me. It'll change your life and the way of seeing things.
