Review of Identity Thief (2013) by Joe N — 21 Aug 2013
I just hated the beginning of this movie. It sort of took me a while to grow on Melissa McCarthy's Character who is sort of smart and dumb at the same time. This sort of goes to show you that you should never give away any personal information to someone you just met over the phone.
None of that would have happened if Bateman just didn't let himself get suckered in. However, like I said earlier the characters slowly grew on me and McCarthy sort of redeems herself by going in and facing the music and confessing everything even when decided he wasn't going to.
Interesting how they both change their goals in the end. However, for a comedy, this movie isn't very funny.
