I love Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy and this was a fine vehicle for their talents. I thought the critics were unduly harsh, and I have no problem recommending this film. It's not a "GREAT FILM", but it's not aiming to be.
I think they were trying to make an entertaining and escapist fluff film, and they succeded. The charm of the two leads carries the film.
