Review of Identity Thief (2013) by Michael N — 07 Oct 2013

I heard that this movie was going to be terrible at first given the fact that so many people that I knew had already seen it. However I wanted to give it at least a try mostly because of Melissa McCarthy since she does a decent job at a comedic role and Bateman is hit or miss with this type of film.

I went into it not expecting much which I think helped because overall it was manageable. The plot is very typical and nothing about it is very special. There were moments that we relatively funny and the one liners where decent.

I found myself laughing here and there but it didn't have much to keep me interested throughout as I was loosing interest quickly given the basic plot and sub par jokes. Overall I think that you should be able to sit through most of the film and nothing about it is over the top or surprising but something to take a look at.

A standard Redbox should do just fine.
