As a demi-feminist, I liked how this movie was a bromance where the "bro" was a woman. It suggests that men and women can be friends without all that love stuff.
That said, the execution of the movie may have been too farcical. For example, I couldn't believe that Bateman or McCarthy had the technical know-how to pull a [insert spoiler alert].
