Review of Identity Thief (2013) by Joshua N — 24 May 2014

I didn't expect much from this and was not disappointed. The story had promise but was not executed well. It has a couple of laughs here and there but it is not the comedy it was billed to be. My biggest problem with it was McCarthy's performance, or rather the lack thereof.

Each "character" she plays in different films are all essentially the same. If were to take a montage of the different movies she has been in and play it for someone who had never seen her movies they would think it was all from the same movie.

Sadly her strongest suit is in a supporting role and not a lead.
