Review of Identity Thief (2013) by Ryan B — 14 Oct 2014

Identity Thief...really wasn't all that great. It had a few LOL moments but more dull scenes than anything. They're both good actors but this wasn't their best roles. I like Jason Bateman as an actor, he knows how to act in most of roles, so I'll give him credit for that.

McCarthy on the other hand, I think the directors she works with on her starring roles kind of go out of their way in making her like look an idiot, her acting isn't that great, course I'm only talking about Identity Thief at the moment, but she does have a few good lines.

The comedy is barely there throughout the whole movie except for a few scenes. I'm a little disappointed that I waited for quite a while to see this and it was kind of a let down but hey, not every movie can be amazingly funny and still be realistic.

I feel like I'm making the movie sound like s..t but it wasn't all that bad. Something I did like about it was that there was a little bit of action, no shootouts or combat but it had car chase scenes which weren't bad at all.

Now if it had a little bit more laughter in it I would probably have made the rating a 3 1/2-4 stars, but the rating is what it is. Unrecommended.
