Review of Identity Thief (2013) by Taswavo . — 11 Dec 2013
I liked it - it's not a top 50 film and behind 'Planes, Trains & Automobiles' which it is obviously a copy of with the new twist. But that twist adds an extra zing and I found it fun. Not sure what Shakespearan play other critics were expecting - a fun 107 minutes with a sweet but an almost non-Candy ending.
I would also suggest 'Diana' is LOADS more irritating than Candys role - in that film the 'distance' comes from Martin's character. In this film it is all on McCarthy. But Bateman is less hammy than Martin. I love the PTA film more. But this is a good film too. I laughed a lot.
