Upon initial viewing, one can feel the sense of yet another underwhelming, typical slasher flick with a low budget; but it's that epiphanic moment deep into what seems to be a shallow plot, masked by an array of fine actors, that the generic, dark, rainy cliche concept just falls apart at the seams and you finally see the truth behind this work of genius, and the result of it, is even darker.
