Review of Identity (2003) by Michelle F — 02 Jun 2011
Identity is a secret. Identity is a mystery. Identity is a killer.
Yeah! You could definitely say that ;) In this movie ten strangers are stranded in a creepy motel in the middle of nowhere. They all try to escape from a nasty storm. Soon enough they realize they are being killed off, one by one.
Oh man! What a movie. I liked this very, very much. It just grabs you and gets you stuck on your seat. The story itself isn't original at all. And when you first watch it, it looks like an ordinary slasher movie, but it actually is not. The scenario is great. That motel is absolutely creepy and the whole atmosphere is just dark and obscure. The cast is great. Especially John Cusack and Amanda Peet did a very fine job again ;).
You'll get the creeps once you see the plot twist. Identity is a psychological thriller where I thought of a long time after I've watched it. I've never seen a movie like this. Truly recommended.
