Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Kevin H — 01 Jun 2010

If you can get past the insane amounts of violence, there is a good film to be had here. Well...a decent one, with interesting characters and a interesting premise from one of Japan's most outrageous directors.

However, this was a movie I endured, rather than enjoyed, or appreciated. The incredible violence I found rather nauseating than artistic, which was it's own downfall. Watch it to get your fair share of shocks, and maybe you'll like it more than I did.
