Review of Ichi the Killer (2001) by Kevin D — 29 Jul 2012
I need to revisit Miike. On first viewing I more or less ignored the plot and waited for the grotesque set pieces. Second time around I sensed a stronger sense of story. Full Metal Yakuza may not have that (won't know til I see it, anyway) but perhaps there's more to the guy than the image I have of an utter madman.
