Review of Ice Princess (2005) by Al P — 01 Apr 2010
Standard movie of teens chasing their dreams despite pressure. Michelle Trachtenberg is quite a good and pretty actress. Hayden Panettiere is also good. Michelle likes ice skating on the pond outside her home and her mum Joan Cusack is a single parent and want Michelle to excel in studies.
She doesn't want Michelle to waste time on other thing else and is quite old fashion and strict. Hayden is a competitive skater with her mum Kim Cattrall as the strict coach. Hayden chose aerodynamics of skating for her project to get the scholarship.
She also hands on skating in order to do better and she proves to Kim she has the talent for it. Her project is a hit and she is also helping out the skaters to improve their technique. Michelle also tried out for the competition and was doing great.
Kim bought her a new pair of skates and she blow away her performance. One opponent told her new pair of skates need at least 10 days to be season. That's when she realise Kim sabotage her so that Hayden can get qualify.
Michelle thought all of them are involve but its not true. She gives up on that. Hayden trash it out with Kim and quit. Michelle overheard them and know she is innocent. She gives up a place in Harvard to pursue her dream and get Kim to train her.
Joan also went to support her. She did well in the end and will be full time into this career. Dreams and reality... which will you choose?
