Review of Ice Age: Continental Drift (2012) by Mathlover9000 — 07 Mar 2018

I honestly did not have high expectations with this film. I thought this film was going to be bad. Turns out, I was wrong. This film is not only underrated but a great film as well. This film had the good stuff in it.

It had the character development, emotion, storytelling, humor, and the fun in it. My favorite character in this movie was Gut. He was a great villain. I like the story arc involving Shira and Diego. I also like the story arc involving Peaches and Louis.

I feel like Peaches and Shira learned valuable lessons in this movie. However, this movie isn't without flaws. I feel some jokes were a bit too much at times. Fortunately, only a couple were slightly cringeworthy.

I also wish that the main characters, Sid, Manny, and Diego, received more character development. Nevertheless, this film was great. It was much better than Dawn of the Dinosaurs and certainly miles better than the dreadful Collision Course.

Still, not as good as the first two Ice Age films. I give this movie an 8/10.
