Ice Age has been a series that has gone downhill even since the first sequel. The fourth film only continues the trend. The "plot" is meaningless and basically only there so we have an excuse to see another Ice Age film, but other than that is non-existent.
The new characters are all uninteresting and too numerous. There are so many new characters in this film that non of them really feel fleshed out at all.
Scrat was the only for of entertainment given in this film and he even got boring around five minutes.
The first Ice Age film was a fun and enjoyable family film. However the horrible sequels make me wonder why this bloated franchise hasn't died yet.
