Review of Ice Age: Collision Course (2016) by Aaron S — 16 Oct 2016
Mr. Shark was long since jumped (back in the third film, in fact), so we can't fault it with continuing to run in the more crazy direction, but it's fine for what it is... better for a fifth film in an animated franchise than it should be, if little else (compare it to other animated number fives, and I'm sure you'll agree that this is far better than those were - not that the bar is high, mind you).
It's not that great (nowhere near the first, but none of the other sequels have been either), but it's harmless, and pretty fun actually, if you don't go in expecting too much. It is probably time they gave up on doing these things, though, before we go full Alpha and Omega, or, god forbid, Land Before Time.
