Review of Ice Age (2002) by Alec G — 11 May 2011
A start-to-finish delight, Ice Age is a treat for all ages. I was seduced by the look and the wit of the film. The visual style is awfully nice to look at, and the dialogue is whip-smart. The story however is well-told but not inspired.
I must confess that the story does eventually win us over. Ice Age does supply a good-hearted message about family too. This movie is superbly drawn, wickedly funny, and warm-hearted with a meaningful message.
Kids will love the characters, especially a little squirrel who steals the show with an acorn. Adults however will probably like the sharp writing and nice art style.
