Review of iBoy (2017) by Healingtoolbox — 11 Jun 2023
Watchable, narratively coherent and satisfying, not distorted by stretching out episodes or trying to make it into a series.
This is a script to study, coherent, no padding, good pacing, comes to a coherent conclusion. No other narrative entertainment property has so closely followed, and wisely so, the story arc of Amazing Fantasy 15 (Spider-Man #1) origin story (before any of the Batman-like villains show up). Two secrets here, the hero benefits from having both too much introversion and too much ambition (original Spider-Man). The female lead benefits from an actress with range and given her things to do. FYI Exact same super-power premise as Josh Holloway's (LOST) short-lived 2012 TV show after LOST ended.
