Excellent 1943 horror film with beautiful cinematography, a strong and dramatic script, and some memorably eerie shots. The film is also very admirable for its non-stereotypical portrayal of black characters, especially for the time in which it was released.
A great treat and an interesting step away from the typical horror fare of the time.
