Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Lamontraymond — 08 Dec 2017
What an outstanding movie! Robbie is absolutely incredible - what commitment to this role (and I can't believe that she did most of the skating - less the jumps - herself!). Janney is SO hardcore as her mom - a truly brutal lady to portray.
What's so great about this film is that there are 4 or 5 scenes in which you really don't know whether to laugh or just feel disgusted. You definitely come away from this film (if you were old enough to remember these events in the early 90s) with a new-found respect for Harding.
It took a couple of Aussies to tell this stories to a bunch of Americans who lived it. Heartbreaking, hilarious, and bold. A must-see.
