Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Bob K — 02 Jan 2018
This movie jumps from laugh out loud hilarity to real pathos. Allison Janney and Paul Walter Hauser are clowns from start to finish, but Tonya was no joke, and Margot Robbie, who produced and starred, is becoming a big wheel in Hollywood.
With her sentencing at the end, including banishment from skating, you almost forget all the blatantly comical moments that lead to that point. Jeff Giloolly was right, it sucks to be only remembered for one dumb thing.
So don't do dumb things, I guess is the moral.
