Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Haze H — 03 Feb 2018
The first thing I thought when the movie ended was that this movie is everything that Three Billboards wished it could be. It was gritty, real, sympathetic and engaging, with writing that managed to surprise without being gratuitous (yes, a story I thought I knew was surprising-- no small feat!), and featuring dialogue that sounded like it came from, you know, real people.
Compelling and funny and clever, with Robbie and Janney and the film itself more than earning their awards nods. Highly recommended!
