Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Justin D — 07 Mar 2018
More than just being a film about a sporting event, this is a film about telling narratives and stories to ourselves about events that we think happened or how we see those events and then showing what actually did happen which is long distant from any reality or truth we tell ourselves.
No wonder as a society we can act so strange when we not only see lies in politicians and the media, we?re doing it to ourselves. It passes on this message through a fascinating story with some great acting leads.
I was transfixed. Wether your just struggling though or your the president of the USA - we need to keep checking those stories or events we tell ourselves and others (or perhaps it?s just the way it is).
Great film and I think a little masterpiece.
