Review of I, Tonya (2017) by Brent T — 05 Apr 2018
Completely baffled by both the RT and audience ratings for this clunker. Okay, thumbs up form the effects of making it look like Margot Robbie was skating. But this style (interviews, faux reality) doesn't ever work for me.
The language, added to story, creates no sympathy for the main character or those that surround her -- making them all appear as stupid, trashy and despicable people (actually people are God's children, and should be loved; but these people represent debased humanity).
Cannot beleive I sat and watched this entire movie; glad it wasn't a paying seat in a theater.
