Despite the fact story of Tonya Harding is a serious subject the film has a light feel with some of the best comedic performances of the year. Allison Janney as the "villainous" mother and Margot Robbie as Tonya Harding deliver undoubtedly greatest performances of their careers. Sebastian Stan also does a good job as the abusive husband.
Despite its almost lengthy run time (for this kind of a movie) I, Tonya does not drag at all. The cinematography and soundtrack are quite good but the films editing is what really delivers, being as good as it possibly could.
A small problem I had with I,Tonya is the makeup particularly in scenes where Tonya is a teenager. She simply look too old and its just distracting. On the contrary I, Tonya in will likely become a future comedy classic with its unique storytelling of otherwise a serious subject.
