Hmm, how to evaluate this? Well, a) it's definitely not the nastiest of the nasty films I've ever had the misfortune / lack of judgement to see and b) it's an infinite improvement, production-quality-wise, on the original.

However, it's still pretty nasty, even if the acting is better. Credibility is stretched to the limit by the fact that there is no way this young chit of a girl could do the things she does to a group of hulking rednecks. She just wouldn't be physically strong enough to move them or knock them out, let alone ensure they stay knocked out.

I worry about people who actually like this shit, because it just reinforces my existing perception that human beings aren't really very nice.
