Better than the original, but that doesn't say much. The original was a z-grade 1970s sexploitation movie with a random plot, predictable direction and wooden acting.
This is better in all respects: plot is tighter, and acting is a reasonably convincing. Direction is still basic though.
This all said, this is a fairly predictable and unoriginal revenge-horror movie. The female-empowerment angle was good, but that is all it has going for it.
