In this remake of the 1978 thriller/revenge classic, novelist Jennifer Hills (Sarah Butler) has rented a cabin in the country where she plans to work on her next book, but a run in with a few misogynistic and twisted local boys makes her a marked target. Getting ready for bed one night, three guys show up and terrorize until the early morning hours, when she escapes and runs into the local sheriff in the woods out hunting she thinks her nightmare is over. But her terror only gets worse when the sheriff joins in, and assault turns into a violent gang rape leaving her broken and barely able to walk...but she somehow finds the strength to escape into the river right before the sheriff intends to shoot her.

Now weeks later, the men believe she is dead and slowly start to return to their normal routines. But Jennifer Hills is still alive and sets a torturous trap for each of the men who raped her.

There are very few movies I have seen that reach this level of violence, this one makes my top 10 list as one of the most brutally violent and all out disturbing movies ever made. Jeff Branson & Andrew Howard gives chilling performances as the two remorseless attackers, and Sarah Butler gives an all too real performance as the victim which is completely unsettling to watch. Solid plot that flows very well. But definitely not for the squeamish.
