Review of I Spit on Your Grave (2010) by Paul J — 29 Mar 2012
What it lacks in originality, it makes up for in the gruesome killings. Be warned, like the original, this isn't a pleasant movie. But there is something undeniably satisfying in watching our main character get her revenge on these rednecks.
My only complaint is why do modern horror films have to cast super models as their main heroines? Wouldn't it be refreshing if the lead looked like a normal woman? Throw a few pounds on her, give her some facial flaws and maybe a quirky personality.
Then when the horror comes it would be all the more believable and scary. It's not as if the rednecks would care one way or another. Just watch Deliverance.
