Review of I Spit on Your Grave (2010) by Renzo V — 28 Nov 2014
"THE REVENGE OF THE RAPED WOMAN".
- 'I Spit on Your Grave' is a 2010 rape-and-revenge horror film directed by Steven R. Monroe (House of 9, Ogre) and the remake to the controversial 1978 cult film. The original one was banned in several lands because of the explicit violence and rape scenes. Know that if you watch this movie it might (very likely) offend you. Or you must have a high level of tolerance. Or just a very twisted mind... A sequel followed shortly after.
Jennifer Hills is traveling toward a remote cabin to work on her novel. Along the way, she stops at a gas station, where three men are hanging around. She accidently makes one of them step into a bucket of water. When arriving at the cabin, she notices the bathroom sink and toilet don't work and asks help from local handyman Matthew, who is a very shy person. After fixing it, the guy receives an innocent thank-you kiss on the cheek.
When fishing with the three men who were at the gas station, Matthew tells them he helped out Jennifer and he got a kiss. The others start to laugh and because they want Matthew to lose his virginity, the men sneak into Jennifer's cabin. There the woman's worst nightmare is about to take place...
