Review of I Sell the Dead (2008) by Joe A — 05 Sep 2009
A perfect example of how to ruin a good idea. While the story sounds like ghoulish fun and the cast is up to the task, this arthouse flick is sunk by lame direction, a literal comic book style (including fading from a scene to a drawn comic book frame) and ironically a funeral's pace.
In the hands of a director like Sam Raimi, who is one of the best at mixing horror and comedy, this could have been a real gem.Instead it's a tedious botch job.
