Review of I Sell the Dead (2008) by Lee B — 07 Mar 2010
Like its title implies, this horror-comedy is odd and eccentric from start to finish, which also means it's quite a bit of fun. There's a distinct style of dark, quirky, and fast-paced humor here that it took me a little while to adjust to, but once I did, I was constantly grinning at all the ridiculous hijinks these grave robbers get into.
In the second half, the plot starts to lose its direction and get so muddled that I worried it wouldn't be able to untangle itself for any kind of satisfying ending. Instead, the writer delivers a final twist that is so outrageous it wouldn't work for any other film, but for this one it's weirdly perfect.
