Review of I Sell the Dead (2008) by Brad G — 01 Apr 2010
Despite feeling (and dragging) like an extended episode of the more-often-than-not mediocre Masters of Horror cable series, I Sell The Dead manages to entertain thanks mostly to Dominic Monahanâ??s unstoppable charm.
The supernatural grave robber angle is a fun twist but I kept wishing theyâ??d stay on one of those mythological corpses instead of hopping around in this episodic narrative. And the cheap comic book inserts, the start & stop jailhouse interview segments, and Ron Perlmanâ??s Irish accent had me nodding off for good chunks of the film.
Not bad, but a little disappointing. VF.
