Review of I Sell the Dead (2008) by Mark D — 24 May 2010
There was much to get excited about here: an excellent cast, interesting setting and what promised to be little more enjoyable horror comedy. I've mentioned a few times that horror comedy is not my thing and so it proved to be again, given that I had read comments such as 'nearly split my sides laughing', whereas the best I could manage was a sly grin.
Upon saying that, however, Ron Perlman was a real treat (when is he not?) and there is some quality within, the camera work is sharp, the plot moves nicely, it's just that at the end of the day it's all a bit dull.
Not a lot happens and it feels rather long for a film running at less than 90 minutes.
