These Korean thrillers are not just violent and gory, but also highly unpredictable--making them a (shocking more than refreshing) alternative to their Hollywood counterparts. I Saw The Devil completed the arc I expected it to have within the first hour, making the next hour and a half all the more electrifying.
Very fast-moving considering the runtime, I may add.
