Review of I Saw the Devil (2010) by Kar Hui T — 01 Oct 2011
The violence towards the female victims in the film can unbearable to watch, but is not in anyway gratuitous (though I can't say the same for the violence suffered by the psychopaths at the hands of the protagonist.
Maybe that's what the audience wants; to see them punished for their sins). If you have the stomach for it, see it for another spectacular performance from Choi Min-sik, as the psychopathic killer.
Truly terrifying.
