Review of I Saw the Devil (2010) by Paula L — 28 Jul 2012
If you believed this film, you'd think there are psycho killers all over South Korea. In one scene, you have three killers stuck in one cab and only one gets out alive. It's a nearly pointless but exhilarating scene.
Saying that I Saw the Devil is violent and brutal would be an understatement. It's bloody, gory and crazy. We have a memorable bad guy, He's simply pure evil, he kills because that's what he does, not for fun or anything like that, simply because he's good at it.
On the other hand, we have an enigmatic good guy, it take a while to figure his motivations, but one thing is sure, they both make a good match. Very effective.
