Review of I, Robot (2004) by Rutger-Kikkert — 24 Feb 2016
I, Robot is a lot of fun. Such an entertaining movie!
The always likable Will Smith gives an always solid performance. But also Bridget Moynahan, Chi McBride, Bruce Greenwood and the voice-acting of Alan Tudyk are good in this movie. The special-effects are a little dated but who cares; this movie is from the year 2004. There are a few moments with great camerawork especially during the very enjoyable action scenes (and there are a lot of action scenes).
This movie's plot was very interesting in the first half, but lost track in the second half where it took a very cliche turn. But I didn't care anymore for the plot at that point (towards the end). Great action scenes and a decent plot in the first half make this movie a very entertaining thrill-ride with good performances, okay special-effects and actually some really great music too, which was worth mentioning.
