Review of I, Robot (2004) by Brogan W — 15 May 2012
A fairly good movie and don't let people's apparent negative perception of this movie to prevent you from checking it out. This has most power that people might think and is a relatively good choice if you're looking for some action.
It has a rare balance of just right between too much and too little action with some pretty good action moments and some other good change of pace scenes. Will Smith isn't anything but himself but in a movie like this that is what you want and he gets the job done as the guy and hero of the movie with his motives that you realize.
Probably by far one of the best robot sci-fi movies of all time I've seen just because the ending has a pretty good plot twist that you don't see coming and the robots feel so real as does the sci-fi world around them.
Still the action can step it up a good notch at times and despite the fact that it is only robots you get some good slo-mo scenes as well. The soundtrack is also subtly good in its own way and sets the tone for much of the rest of the movie similarly to V-for-Vendetta with its undertones.
Best scene is maybe the one where spooner is attacked in his car by the two massive robot carrying vehicles or even the ending scene where they have to fight at the top of the building.
