Review of I, Robot (2004) by Aaron K — 03 Aug 2012
There is a serious and respectful nod towards other great sci-fi movies here: Blade Runner, The Matrix (Of which it was also influenced by the original books) and The Terminator. All of these polite nods never come as an insult, or an arrogant presumption of equality.
Its an excellent modern day sci-fi that uses every pint of Smith's charisma and every drop of talent from director Alex Proyas. Thoroughly enjoyable, and relying on far more than just its CGI visuals, I,Robot is a brilliant futuristic thriller.
