Review of I, Robot (2004) by Hannah L — 08 Nov 2011
An unexpectedly engaging futuristic mystery, I, Robot is a surprisingly smart CGI-fueled ride. Director Alex Proyas finds the perfect balance between the real world and the one of his imagination, breathing humanity into a genre gleaming with artifice.
While it's not in a league with Blade Runner or The Terminator, I, Robot is an efficiently designed, well-oiled machine. Inspired by Isaac Asimov's short stories, I, Robot is an intriguing mix that perfectly combines action and ideas.
As humans become exceedingly dependent of robots in their everyday lives The Three Laws of Robotics seem as fresh, compelling and provocative as ever. Make sure you view this movie; confirm command.
