Review of I Melt with You (2011) by Jovan J — 25 Jun 2012
Despite the beautiful cinematography, this film left me feeling empty and bewildered. What starts off as a story about middle-aged men beaten down by society and eager to take it easy devolves into the world's most melodramatic and depressing party movie.
The movie expects us to care about the bond between the characters without any attempt to build it, instead rushing to destroy their friendship and themselves in the name of a vague, self-righteous pact made years ago.
What a waste.
