This movie starts off with several quotes, one is "When I hear the word 'culture' I reach for my gun." from Hermann Göring. At that more or less sums up the tone of the movie. This movie completely ignores established aesthetics, conventions, or even polite society.
And at it's heart, it's a love aria for the crazy and the twisted. I can't recomend it enough.
