"Fuck me with a flaming fist!" Ahhh...classic.

I Love You Phillip Morris is a hysterical romantic comedy drama that shows just how good Jim Carrey can be when he is in smart movies. This movie is about Steven Russell, an incredibly flamboyant conman who breaks out of prison 4 times, steals millions of dollars, and leads a quadruple life. In prison, he meets Phillip Morris, played superbly by Ewan McGregor, and falls madly in love with him. SO madly, in fact, that he will do anything to stay with him.

This movie, from beginning to end, is flat out hilarious, and it is also very heartfelt, and incredibly raunchy at times. I couldn't get enough of its quirkiness, and just how damn sweet it is. Sure it is a bit formulaic at times, but when you are this funny and your leads are this charming, you really don't care.

I Love You Phillip Morris is Jim Carrey's best film since Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, and is one of the most overlooked movies out there. You gotta see it.
