I love seeing Jim Carrey acting seriously. There's always been a suspicion that his hyper-goofiness is a screen for some deeper pathos, and this is one of the roles that draws that out.

As for the film, it's sweet, entertaining, and interesting. It's nice to see a gay relationship explored with such sensitivity in a major motion picture. Ewan McGregor is great as Phillip Morris. Worth a watch if you're in the mood for some light-hearted fun.
