Review of I Love You Phillip Morris (2010) by Calvin R — 01 Apr 2012
One of the first films that I've watched in which I guessed every possible plot point incorrectly. Though it had its flaws, Jim Carrey has one of his best performances in this utterly adorable love story that takes place in the most ridiculous environment imaginable.
My only other comment would be that I wish either Wes Anderson or the Coen Brothers directed this film. Such a fantastic premise and story felt weighted down by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa's inclusion of penis scribbles and cloud penis.
Penises? Peni? I've never had to use that word in plural. That might be the one fault of the film right there.
