A quirky film that doesn't really go anywhere. McGregor saves it with some fine acting. Carrey's performance is inconsistent. In some scenes, he is restrained, displaying some good emotional range, but in others, he acts with such loose abandon, it's tiring.
Really good chemistry though between McGregor and Carrey.
