Review of I Love You, Man (2009) by Matthew M — 04 Aug 2011
There's an endearing passion throughout "I Love You, Man", a homosocial bond between two men that develops into the love that can only be said with a "man" at the end of it. It's soppy, but not enough for men.
It's by men, for men, and curiosly never gives away much about men. Segal and Rudd are perfect in their mis-matched roles, with love and hate being two ends of the same spectrum; could it possibly be the greatest comedy of the 21st Century? It's up there, I'm sure.
