Review of I Love You, Man (2009) by Chris H — 26 Jun 2011
I Love You, Man is a really funny 09 classic. The story may be really simple & a little silly, but even so I still think that it's a fucking hilarious movie. So you have Paul Rudd as Peter, the Real Estate man who's marrying Zooey (the wonderful Rashida Jones, who you may know as Karen from the Office, or Anne from Parks & Recreation).
But there's one problem he doesn't really have any guy friends, he has friends but they're either friends of Zooey's, his parents (Jane Curtin & the hilarious J.K. Simmons), or the guys that he fences with.
So he needs a friend, no! correction, a "guy friend." Then one day he is doing Real Estate on selling The Hulk's house (the actor from the original's house), he meets Sydney eating Peter's homemade sun-dried tomatoes sandwiches & talking about one of the customer's farting in the open house.
It turns out to be a hilarious & memoribal scene. Anyways, it becomes even funnier later on in the movie. I Love You, Man is a great fun comedy.
