Review of I Love You, Beth Cooper (2009) by Terrance B — 24 Mar 2010
Now first off I just wanna start by saying "Yes I like This Movie"!"I Love You Beth Cooper" is a nice mix of laughs, romance and sophomore humor. This is what I want to see from PG-13 high school comedy's,unlike films like "Superbad" and "Dazed And Confused" this is a nice film younger teens can see and have a good laugh or to with a date or a friend.
This film also has a nice soundtrack with songs by "Kiss",and "Gym Class Heroes".The bad things about the film is beth's friends are unlikeable, there every high school cliuqe.Theres also a very weird quate scene in the movie were the hero of the film says in his speech to the high school bully "Maybe you were abused as a kid or touched in the wrong place"and later in the film we see he was.
..and thats supposed to be funny,we should be laughing at that its just wrong because this kid needs to be talked to about what happend to him not laughed at.Also I hated that one of the main jokes is that this kids friend is supposed to be gay that was lame.
All and this film is no "Superbad" with lots of quateable scenes and heroes nor was it "Can't Hardly Wait" with its double watch so all and all RENT THIS FILM!
